Within a stone’s throw of the famous Guillemins train station, Silversquare is a new coworking space in Liege that offers different types of work spaces over a total area of 3,280 sqm: open space, shared or fixed private offices and meeting rooms.
As with each of its coworking spaces, Silversquare gave free rein to the creative juices of a home-grown artist. For this new project, Jean-Paul Lespagnard, the renowned ambassador of Belgian fashion in Paris and Liège-born designer, came up with the concept and look for SQ Guillemins, located in the “Paradis Express” building.
Inspired by his travels, Jean-Paul Lespagnard, nicknamed the “Liégeois-Voyageur” or the “Travelling Liegois”, has created an extraordinary work space that exudes a unique mood through the carefully selected colours and materials. Immersion in this rich atmosphere, the brainchild of a creative genius, helps to drive innovation and encourage networking among its occupants.
The energy is unmistakable as soon as you step into the lobby. The furniture, rugs and colourful decoration picked out by the designer make for a fantastic combination with the Belgian Blue Stone chosen for the floor, albeit in a rather unusual format.
The triangular indoor tiles tie in naturally with the artist’s inimitable style. The Blue Stone was chosen in a “Sawn” finish.
Belgian Blue Stone is a timeless natural stone that lends a touch of character to all interior and exterior designs, whatever the style.
Traditional yet contemporary, Blue Stone adapts to an infinity of layouts, shapes and plays of colour. Multiple formats and a large number of laying styles are available for your indoor floor tiles.
A local project!
Tchantchès, a character from Liège folklore, is one of the major pieces adorning the entrance hall. A local character on a local natural stone, crowning the work of a local artist! The project is local to say to the least!
This coworking space will necessarily generate a great deal of coming and going. As beautiful as it is durable, Belgian Blue Stone is particularly well suited to public and professional spaces with high footfall. Its very compact structure makes it resistant to compression, wear and impacts. A natural stone of choice for high-traffic areas…
A nod to the station
As a child, Jean-Paul Lespagnard remembers having often waited in the cold of Liège station. His goal was to design SQ Guillemins as a coworking space, but also as a place where commuters can while away the time in comfort. The Belgian Blue Stone floor of SQ Guillemins is a nice little nod to this station and its 20,000 sqm of Blue Stone.
You can’t really miss Belgian Blue Stone in Liège!
A focus on finishes
Our “Sawn” finish represents the Blue Stone in a simply sawn state. The overall shade of the tiles is light grey with bands of different hues, distributed randomly over the surface. What’s more, the Sawn tile is easy to maintain…
